Sometimes in my work there are «unruly stories». When you conceive one doll, but it turns out to be another. And it’s not even about the costume, but about some internal energy of the doll. It’s as if she is occurred from the very beginning and leads me, guides me, directs me… And this doll, which I like very much, was born for a long time and all the time led me away from the initial idea, but not sideways, but somewhere inside, deeper and deeper. And I realized that for a long time I had wanted to create an image of my parents’ youth — people whose youth was at the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s. In my family, there were many black and white photographs of that time, which depicted beautiful young people associated with the events of the difficult history of my country. This doll took on a great responsibility — it became, for me, a symbol of that era. The work is dedicated to my parents.

Иногда в моей работе случаются «истории непослушания». Когда задумываешь одну куклу, а получается другая. И дело даже не в костюме, а в какой-то внутренней энергии куклы. Как будто она зарождается с самого начала и ведет меня, руководит мной, направляет… Вот и эта кукла, очень мной любимая, рождалась долго и все время уводила меня от начального замысла, но не в сторону, а куда-то внутрь, глубже и глубже. И я поняла, что давно хотела создать образ юности моих родителей — людей, чья молодость пришлась на конец 60х и начало 70х годов прошлого века. В моей семье было много черно-белых фотографий того времени, на которых запечатлены красивые молодые люди, связанные событиями с непростой историей моей страны. Эта кукла взяла на себя большую ответственность — она стала для меня символом той эпохи. Работа посвящается моим родителям.
